With over 20 authored language texts to her name Benjawans’ extensive experience and expertise were recognized when she received the Asian Publishing Award for Best Author in 2011. Further, Benjawan has been a professional court interpreter in California since 1996. A social ambassador for Thailand and Laos Benjawan has lectured to many students and businesses mainly in the United States, including Stanford University. Born in Bangkok but raised in Yasothon, a province in Northeastern Thailand, Benjawan has always has had a deep interest in languages and culture. She has created the most wide-ranging and most popular set of materials for English speaking foreigners to learn Thai. We will select several questions from our students, newsletter and Facebook followers and use these as a basis of an interview later this month.
